WHAT'S ENRICHMENT?

Sensory

Includes anything that stimulates the dog’s senses, sight, sound, taste, smell and touch. Our activities include hide and seek, track the treat, dig box, grooming, massage, music and bubbles.

 

Feeding

By employing the power of the dog’s nose and brain you can encourage the dog to use their natural hunting and foraging skills. Our activities include puzzle feeders, lick mats, kongs, frozen treats and hand feeding.

 

Toys and Puzzles

Objects that can be manipulated in some way and explored via feet, tail and mouth; and puzzles where the dog has to use their brain and problem solve to get a reward. Our activities include hanging rope toys, boomer balls, rolling tubes, squeaky toys and brain games.

 

Environmental

Change or add things to the dog’s environment, can increase physical activity and arouse curiosity. Our activities include rotating play areas and play leaders, agility courses, musical tyres, and dog camping.

 

Social

Interaction with people and dogs, can help to build self-confidence and trust. Our activities include 1 to 1 time with dogs, group games and mixing the social groups.

 

Training

Can help strengthen the bond with dogs, it helps to build trust plus dogs learn basic and important skills. Our activities include sit and stay, agility, door and gate manners, tricks, and walking on lead.
